What is Echoes of Dub

A national stage built for this art form.

Echoes of Dub by Bekelé is Jamaica's first all-digital dub poetry competition. Open to basic schools, primary schools, secondary schools, tertiary institutions, and the general public across all parishes.

Everything is digital. No travel. No stage required. Record your performance, submit your video, and let your voice do the work. Schools and individuals from any parish in Jamaica can enter.

Judging is carried out by a panel of three independent practitioners using a standardised five-criteria rubric. All entries are held in the permanent Echoes of Dub digital archive.

"Dub poetry is not performance. It is position. It is the Jamaican voice refusing to be quiet."
